have found Florida Peninsula & Edison Insurance to really care for their insured's. Not only are they more than willing to provide the payouts allowed in your policy, but I've personally witnessed upper management go above and beyond to instruct their employees, vendors and contractors to be generous in dealing with policy holders during Hurricane Irma & now Michael. Florida Peninsula/Edison are two ethical and fair insurance companies. Where I've seen disappointment and misunderstanding is what customers thought they bought from their Agents, or Sales Person who didn't take the time to properly explain the coverage and give the customer a choice to purchase enough coverage for fences, sheds and carports/screened pools. Do yourself a favor before the next Hurricane snaps every tree in a hundred miles and take a couple hours to review your insurance with your Agent and ask all the questions needed.

I had a problem with one of their agents, Ekert that drug out a cancellation for eight. I cancelled my policy with them on 18 August 2017 via written notice on their required form. They finally cancelled on 19 March. They have been passive aggressive in claiming I did not provide them a copy of my new insurance, which I did three times. They never come back and say that they did not receive documentation. I last talked to a rep in jan 2018 and he confirmed he had all documentation. I had to call my mortage company to ensure that they do not pay them, since I received the policy renewal for another year. I reached out to Florida Peninsula main office and they resolved the issue within one day. If you have a problem with an agent reach out to main office sooner tjan later...it would have saved me a lot of grief.
