After hurricane Irma a lot of folks had a hard time with their insurance, but I had little to no issues with Florida Peninsula. Longer wait times understandable with all these unfortunate disasters, but I was always able to talk to a human and get my process started for getting my home back to normal. I recommend anyone looking for insurance FPI now for this very reason - they were there for us when I needed them the most!

We had our first incident where a tree fell on our pool enclosure. The initial response was efficient - the adjuster came out immediately and reviewed the damage. We had to follow-up with adjuster a few times to get an update and after a week he said he had filed his report to the company. We have been sitting two weeks with no action - and no response from the company. We called several times to get an update and the standard response is "It can take 7-10 days". I asked if my roof had blown off what the turn around time is and I quote, "7-10 days once we receive adjuster details". POOR service. I was able to finally secure the name of the individual working my claim and to-date have left two voice message - no response. Very disappointing first experience... FOLLOW-UP - I did receive a call back and was happy with the status and details. It took a few weeks but I eventually received the details I was looking for and next steps. I think my feedback now is more related to the timing and communication during claim processing. I am used to a State Farm where things are settled quickly - I will have to alter my expectations.

How to File a Claim

Filing a claim with Florida Peninsula can be done in a few ways. You could submit your claim via phone at (877) 229-2244 or online. An inspector will be sent to your home within 72 hours to assess the damage. Once the adjuster has evaluated the damage and compiled all the necessary information on the covered loss, the claim may be referred to our Managed Repair Program. If the covered loss is not assigned to the Managed Repair Program, the adjuster will prepare his report and submit it to Florida Peninsula Insurance Company for review and approval.
