My Adjuster Holly Franklin was absolutely AMAZING through the whole process. Very responsive and answered my many questions. Being out of state and having a major fire at the house was quite stressful but Holly eased my burdens and helped us work through the rebuild process with ease. Thanks so much Holly!Security First has sent me 2 small checks without any explanation. The first check came ,as their claims representative had just quit the company. It arrived with no explanation and the representative apparently closed my claim at the same time. The second check arrived after the next representative denied another string of legitimate parts of my claim. I recommend hiring an attorney early on in the process if Security First does not want to help you with your claim with in a fair manner.

This is our third claim since being insured with Security First and I must say by far our largest to date, Unfortunately we had a picture fall and broke the toilet water line, it totally ruined our floors with the only exception being our tile floor. So far I feel Security has treated us well with the only exception being that most of the floors were less than five years installed and the deprecation was 40%. Yet dealing with the adjuster Scott and Melisa have been very straight forward and helpful.

Sept 14 - I am going thru the claim process for Irma now. I know it going to take alot of patient since they may be swamp. But as the process goes I will reevaluate my review. I have file the claim on Sept 12 and have no call back from adjuster yet. Since I am in the disaster county, I have also file a claim with FEMA. Right now 3 star.

How to make payments

Security First offers flexible payment options when you purchase a new policy or when your policy is up for renewal. These include semi-annual, quarterly and monthly payments.

To make a payment online, policyholders can log into their online customer portal, My Security First. You may also choose to pay over the phone by calling (877) 333-9992. Security First accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Credit cards are also acceptable methods of payment via the mobile app, Security First Mobile.

How to File a Claim

Security First offers three ways to file a claim. The first way is over the phone by calling (877) 581-4862. You may also file a claim online using the customer portal, My Security First. Further, you may file your claim using the Security First Mobile app, which allows you to upload photos of the damage.

Once you file a claim, Security First assigns your case to a third-party adjusting company. This company will send an adjuster to assess the damage to your home. In the event of a major disaster, claims are prioritized by the severity of the damage, Security First’s website states, so delays may occur.

After the assessment, the adjuster will then send a damage report to a claim examiner, who will review the report and create an estimate to repair the damage. This examiner will contact the filer by phone to discuss the estimate in detail, according to the company’s website.

According to its website, Security First’s protection program is enough to withstand a hurricane twenty times the cost of Hurricane Andrew.
